After solid showings in London and Berlin, Elite Running Team is back in action with a very strong team this Sunday at the last Marathon Major of the year in New York City.
The squad will be led by World Champion and 2021 Berlin Marathon winner Gotytom Gebreslase. This will be her first outing since her gold medal race in Eugene this summer and she’s looking forward to facing the fierce competition: “I will be racing for the win”
Shura Kitata will represent Elite Running in the men’s race. 4 years ago, Shura was runner-up at the iconic Central Park finish behind his teammate Lelisa Desisa. Since then, he grabbed a brilliant win in London back in 2020, and is up for another top performance this week-end, hoping to improve on his 5th place in Tokyo this spring. His experience will serve him well on New York’s challenging course.
